Try not to mess up next time. Now answer the second question, but don't take as much time as you took for the first question, OK?
Second Question :
If you overtake the last person, then you are...?
(scroll down)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You're not very good at this, are you?
Third Question :
Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator .
Try it.
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 Now add 30 . Add another 1000 . Now add 20 . Now add another 1000 . Now add 10 . What is the total?
Scroll down for the correct answer.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you get 5000 ?
The correct answer is actually 4100 ..
If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator!
Today is definitely not your day, is it ?
Maybe you'll get the last question right... Maybe...
Fourth Question :

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you Answer Nunu? NO! Of course it isn't.
Her name is Mary! Read the question again!
Okay, now the Bonus round, i.e., a final chance to redeem yourself:
A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.
Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's really very simple
He opens his mouth and ask for it...
Does your employer actually pay you to think??
If so Do NOT let them see your answers for this test!

What not to wear...
I had to laugh as it's so amazing how much time has changed over the years.
Walking to the student center, I bumped into a student that was wearing skinny jeans. Now when I stepped back to look at him, he had a lot of hair...like a lion's mane, some t-shirt with a band on it (didn't catch that...), and this very skinny, skin-type jeans. I thought, he needs more room in those pants!
As I sat down and ate my lunch, I sort of observed those around me. Many of us are bundled up in sweaters and comfortable pants. I've seen students with piercings in places I would never dream of doing to myself....a girl had a ring through her nose like a cow with a ring in its nose...ouch!
*sigh*
I had to laugh because it brought me to think about Britian's What Not To Wear's Trinny and Susannah how people should dress. They are very bold and very...brave. They have helped many people make great transformations with themselves!
Then the show idea carried over to USA. We have our own What Not to Wear here in USA. I have learned many tips from them...but some I would never do. Like, spend 100 dollars on ONE blouse or something like that.
However, sometimes I see myself in one of their victims and I'd try to use their suggestions...and eh...I do just fine.
I do not wear dresses...but will do that on special occasions and I do like sundresses...for summer. I do not like wearing socks but I will during the winter. Gotta keep my toes warm.
I do not like long sleeves...I prefer t-shirts or a nice, flattering blouse. But nothing to draw attention to myself.
My hair---well, I'm in the process of growing it out again. I decided after nearly a year of being short-haired, it is just not me. I'm too cold w/o all that hair. I miss it. I want it back! My neck feels very exposed ... very naked. Brr.
I am not a vain person...so that is a good thing. I am overweight, yes, but I always see myself as a thin girl inside this body...and it really does get me through my days. I am very careful with what I eat or drink...I should cut down on my daily Coca-Cola but...I'd be really crabby if I go too long w/o it.
I have healthy kids, a husband who is not a winter person but his love for me is so great, he made the sacrifice to be up north with me.
What more could I ask for?

Uhh....
Okay, I guess I might have a blogger's block or something today.
Seems today was a bad day for a couple friends and a sister.
My husband is fighting off another horrendous cold, cough, etc. I feel so bad because he's a tropical person, not a foresty person. If I had the moolah, I'd ship him off to Key West or AZ to thaw out.
(of course, I'd join him!)
It's been bitterly cold the past couple weeks and it's amazing how it has lasted so long. So far my health has been pretty good...just the occasional headache when the temps change so fast...but other than that, I'm good.
My joints are achy so that's normal on a very cold day too.
My Super Mouser, Izzy, is sick too. Poor Kitty.
So, nothing witty or humorous to share with you all today. Perhaps tomorrow?

catching up...
Today seems to be a day of catching up.
Before my daughter and I were about to head out for some time together and grocery shopping...a good friend of mine caught me through my husband's AIM. So I sat there and chatted. It was good to catch up with her, and ended the conversation by reminding her that I have never stopped caring for her, I never stopped loving her and that I'm always here for her. We exchanged information so we can keep in touch. I even gave her my blog link so she can keep tabs on me as well! *Hi there, girl!*
Secondly, caught up on having some time with my daughter. She had seen "Yes Man" last night with her friends so she said it was good. She was kind of quiet though. Then shared that she was happy the exams were over. She is little concerned about her math, though. It's the first thing in the morning so..."coffee anyone?".
Thirdly, caught up on grocery shopping. Well, I did not feel like going into Adrian or Ann Arbor for Meijers or anything. I just went to Buschs (can you say, ouch?) where they had few sales but it still hurts my wallet. Just picked up something that we can use for dinner tonight and tomorrow. I'll worry about the rest of the week...later. Oh yeah, cat food was a must.
(We're having chinese for dinner tonight....La Choy's stuff...)
Fourthly, came home and I crawled back in bed. Took a nap but I guess it went on too long because well, hubs is going to a revival tonight and well, he'll have to fend for himself to eat before going. I got dinner going and won't be ready for 1/2 hour. Sorry honey!
So I'm kind of caught up on my nap.
Now, more things I have to catch up on: laundry!
Yeah. At least I multi-tasked before my naptime. While visiting the "reading room" I decided after I was done "reading", I'd scrub the tub out. So now my tub is cleaner and whiter than snow.
For now.
The weather has wreaked havoc on my brains so I have had a headache on/off today.
Blahhhhhhhhhhhh.............

What happens when you lose a cap?
by Hollie Beier....(my sister)
The subject of today's lesson is why it's not a good idea to lose the caps from bottles of cooking liquids.
The subject of today's lesson is why it's not a good idea to lose the caps from bottles of cooking liquids.
Let's take the tall bottle of vegetable oil that is kept in the cupboard above the stove as our example. Note the missing cap and the 3 inches of oil left in the bottom. Also note that we've had below 0 degrees for the past few nights and the Beiers who live out in the country where there are plenty of wild animals. We will also observe that there is no way for Super Mouse Catching Toby (cat) to possibly make his way up into the kitchen cupboards.
Now, it's dinner time and we are going to be cooking some meat that needs a little bit of oil in the bottom of the pan. Take out the vegetable oil and as you are tipping it, notice what appears to be congealed liquid at the bottom. Ask the question: "I didn't know vegetable oil could separate like that!"
Then look closer, and you will find why it is not a good idea to lose a cap to a bottle of liquid when there are sub-freezing temperatures outside and little grey animals find their way into the house by eating through some insulation, snacking on some cereal and then having the misfortune to fall into a bottle of liquid only to be discovered too late at dinnertime.
Please, learn this lesson well, as I have. Then have the hubby duck tape the bejeezus out of the insulation in the cupboard!
*Thank you, Hollie, for this lesson. You get an A+!

GAHHHHHHH!
Okay, I could do louder than that.
What is it with everyone...this week????
Really, my family. What makes them think they can bombard me with stuff I don't want to deal with the moment I step into the house???
GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
My hair's already sticking up so at least that's an accomplishment after weeks of trying to make my hair "spiky".
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ahhh...
Thanks for letting me get it out of my system.
The weekend's nearly here....so I'm looking forward to that.

A Sole that needed saving...
I saved a sole....I did.
I have these favorite snow boots ....that is similar to the picture here.
You know how you kick off your shoes, you don't always untie them? Then the more you do that, you are actually kicking the heel away from the shoe....
And it soon can fall apart, right?
Well, my boots have withstood everything I threw at it. I've had these for like, oh, 5 years? And they are comfortable. They are broken into and molds my feet very comfortably. The sole is still good....barely worn out at the heels....
I love them. *hugging them tight...*
Yesterday, the sole was 3/4 pulled away from the shoe...
"slap, slap, slap, slap, slap...." (how annoying is that, to feel it slap your heel wherever you go?)
What to do??? I really did not want to bother with a cobbler to fix it. So I took it off and studied it. Someone suggested....DUCT TAPE!
I love Duct Tape but....okay, right, do I really want to be nerdy enough to do that???
Noooooooo..........
Aaaaah-HA! I know! I know!
So I visited a store, and bought......
TAAAAAA-DAHHHHHHHH!
It really worked!
No more "slap, slap, slap" as I walk around with that sole flapping against my heel or tripping over the clumsiness of being nearly soleless.
It's quieter, and I know the boot is very happy to be fixed. And my heel thanks me as well.

Monday Blues...
Well, not really the blues.
While I have much admiration for Martin Luther King, Jr., and all in support of having a day of celebrating him, um, come on, does the cafe have to be closed today????
I mean, I need...COFFEE! It's just simply too cold to hike over and get one.
Knowing a temper tantrum won't do any good, I just sighed and turned around and walked back to my desk.
I'll just make do with something from the Pepsi vending machine (I miss the Coca-Cola...*sob*).
I had a great time at my niece/nephew's birthday party. While Katelin turned 6, Jordan will become 2 on Friday. Oh. My. Growing up so fast! It was also good to see another sister bring her 3 girls. Her baby is just so sweet and she played with me. Last month she didn't care much for me. I think she had a good nap on the way to the party. LOL.
Yesterday was just pretty much mellow and I saved my husband's life by telling him to calm down and no need to go to ER...I went to drug store to get something for him and immediately it helped him. Ah yes...see, we saved tons of money (and time!) and I went back to reading a book in my warm cozy bed. Ahh.
At 8:30 pm last night, my daughter called me from her friend's house. "Can you get me an Angry Whopper from Burger King?"
"Uh, do you know what time it is?"
"Yeah, so?"
"Um, I'm in my PJ's and reading a book and half-watching tv....NO!"
She giggles and hangs up. *sigh*
Went to bed, and I know I slept pretty soundly. Because next thing I know, my bed's vibrating so hard, I thought I would be shaken out of bed, and the light was flashing---flash flash flash....(how annoying is THAT?).
Oh yeah, the Sonic Boom Clock I had bought from a friend...hey, it works! Not sure about the light flashing but...it works, at least. I now can retire my 20 something year old Radio Shack Appliance/Radio clock/timer thing.
And I want some coffee! I'll just wait until lunch break, and take off somewhere ...find the nearest Starbucks, I think.

The Kiss
THE KISS
She is pregnant; he had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.
When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.
A photographer from the Charlotte , North Carolina newspaper, noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.
He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.
As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.
The Kiss
And people say animals are dumb.
*Thanks to a good friend of mine who shared this with me.
Brr!
It was about -14 degrees when I left home this morning.
My kids were very thrilled there was no school today. So they're in for a lonnnnng weekend!
I would think the van would warm up inside after driving for oh, say, ehhhh....15 minutes? No, it finally warmed up when I arrived at work...45 minutes later!
Brr!
I have a weather bug on my desktop here at work, set for my home's temps. I have caution my gang at home NOT TO GO ANYWHERE unless they layer up and cover every single exposed skin. I do not want to take chances!
My daughter wanted to go over her friend's house...so I laid down the rules---LAYER UP! Oh yeah, there's a scarf on your bed PLUS wear socks! (she likes to go "barefoot" in her boots).
So....yeah.
And I am stuck wearing my boots today. I realized I pulled on different white socks. So it would be embarrassing to wear them with my tennis shoes. Anybody would notice the difference in those. *blushing*
My hair has a mind of its own. I did not shower last night as it was too cold (but don't worry, I'm clean as I took a long hot bath yesterday!)...and didn't take one this morning. So I tried "gelling" my hair down. Pffft. It looks like I didn't brush my hair at all! Like, I just got up from bed, dragged clothes on (and yeah, mismatched white socks) and just took off.
And wearing a hoodie to keep myself warm on way to work didn't help my hair either.
Another one of those days where things don't go right. But it's Friday! Monday should be better, right? Right, guys?

Am I losing my mind?
I get a lot of ideas for Deaf Cafe.
Sometimes I get inspiration from a show or a commercial on tv...and try to remember. I remember at that point, "oh what a great fun idea...." and I tell myself to get out of bed, and go write it down (or better yet, email it to other DC team members).
But nooooooooooooo.....I told myself, "Oh don't worry. I have excellent memory...I'll remember it..."
Yeah sure. *scoffs*
Later I came out and I totally forgot.
This is hours ago.
Can't blame it on being sick past couple days....nuh-huh.
As I sat down here and tried to think of something to blog about ...that thing I was supposed to remember? Got it. *ding ding ding!*
Anyway, when you get inspired and no matter how much you think you can remember later, I'd advise you to WRITE IT DOWN! Or email yourself or leave a message on your answering machine. Anything.
Believe me, you won't look stupid.
I just felt really stupid.

What a day!
Man, interesting morning.
I left the house 6:15 a.m. thinking oh cool, I'll have time to scrape the snow off the van and be at Opa's before 6:30.
So we got the snow cleared off. Perfect.
I get in the van. The clock says 6:35. WHAT???
*sigh*
So I take Josh to Opa's, and I told him, seems the clock is faster than I can even blink! What is with that? He just laughed.
So, then I took off....thinking I'll grab my breakfast on the road in Saline.
The drive wasn't bad but I just realized how much I hate the darkness. I. Can't. See. Scaaaaaaary.
After pulling into McD's drive through....I'm thinking, I got enough $. So I'll just get a nice hot breakfast and a hot Mocha. Yum. I could only find 5 bucks. Huh? So I settled for just a breakfast combo with a coke for under 5 bucks. (if I get one with Mocha it would be 5 and change).
Driving along and as I neared the overpass over 23, into Ypsi, the skies were lighting up pink. First I thought I missed something, was that a flash of something?
Then saw it again. Wow. Like a bomb going off behind the clouds. Then it happened again! whoa! Purty, though. But I was like, um, okay God, what are you trying to tell me? Um, thanks? um....what? (I'm talking away with God...).
Got to work, and parked inside the parking structure, knowing the weather will get worse later today (and colder) and not want to scrape snow off ...again.
I see another person standing outside his car, putting on his coat, then his scarf, then his hat, gloves, grabbing his bags, and then he locks up his car. And I could see he let out a big sigh. Must be a long distance commuter...like me!
I did the same thing, already had my coat on, but I had to put on my scarf, my hat and my gloves. Then grab my purse, my bag with shoes in it, and my coke...oh yeah, and let's not forget my keys.
*Chirp!* Alarm set, my doors are locked.
Hike up to the building...then saw a co-worker and mentioned about the skies lighting up. He said there were others telling him the same thing...so I guess I must've been like, person # 10 or something. Guess I wasn't the only one who saw the skies lighting up like that.
Really cool!
(Wait a minute, is someone having triplets today? 3 girls? The skies did light up PINK!)
I take off my coat at my desk and I find the extra cash I had ...hiding in my coat pocket. Oh well. I can get a peppermint mocha later today. Eh.
Supposed to drop in temp today---I know the clouds were "clashing" up there and there was lightning there. It was pretty and really awesome (God of Wonder....beyond the galaxieeeeees...........).
Hey Amy in NY....yeah you, girl! Now I can tell you the weather. Today we're gonna get something pretty nasty and drop in temps so it's gonna be nasty and COLD! Below freezing tonight...or tomorrow. I'm really afraid to look at the weather report. So type in zip 49286 and you can see my town's weather report, how's that?!
Everyone: stay warm and safe, please! And be a good neighbor and make sure your sidewalks are shoveled and salted....people will thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
Eh.

Surfin' the storm...
Surfing the Storm. A report by Kirstan. January 11, 2009.
Last Friday late afternoon was an adventure.
You know how people surf the waters in California, or Hawaii or Australia...(Florida too, I guess)...
Well, we have a winter version of that.
The family van is the surfboard.
The "waves" is the snowstorm.
We're surfing the edge of the storm until we reached north of Brighton....and all was calm....
We were really glad we were able to get out of there...it was extremely difficult and going probably no more than 45 mph on the freeway (our freeways let you go up 70 on a good day).
Got all set up for Deaf Cafe and then Saturday, the snow came....hit the Flint area. Well, we rode with a friend who has a 4 wheel drive. We were so thankful for that! Arrived at the place, and we practiced and prayed.
Well, the team members from the Ann Arbor area had to turn around and go home---the roads were so bad, 7 cars have gone off the road. So...they made the right decision.
Funny, the center we have our program at did not own a snow shovel (we agreed we'd buy one to keep in our Deaf Cafe trailer so we can shovel!) and they use push broom ...but that's not really much help. And it was really snowing hard.
7 brave souls showed up...and there were 12 team members there that night...so we went ahead and had a great program.
Sunday we decided not to risk driving until we gave the trucks time to clear the roads. So we visited a local church and then the roads were better on the drive home.
I was really amazed to see how much snow has come down....wow! Got home, and as much as I wanted to nap, I had to take care of some business and well...I never got my nap....
It's Monday today and well, I'm beat. I'm going to eat something and crawl in my warm bed....watch some stuff on TV and then ...off to saw some logs.
That is my report of what I did over the weekend.
The end.

Am I in Space?
This morning, it was another adventure driving to work.
I was slowly going east towards work...and the snow came. I am on the road by 6:30 a.m. and by the time I turn east, that's where the snow comes.
And it's still quite dark too.
To drive on this road....and the snow coming down at you.
Whoa...am I moving at all? Or am I flying in space? It's like I'm driving among the stars or something.
Until a big semi-truck comes by, kicking up a whirly-snow...rly? Then I know I'm on the road, really.
It sure felt so unreal.
I did make it in one piece. However, that intense driving really made me hungry. So I treated myself to a donut and a peppermint mocha (from Starbucks!). Yum.
Coming home, though, wasn't so bad. No snowing....and the roads were cleared. And I'm really on earth, not in space.

Windy, wet...Wednesday
Well, it sure was wet when I left work today. The snow started coming in. It is the wet, heavy kind.
The roads were slippery too....and I think I missed an accident---a fender bender.
Gassed up for 1.79!!! (whereas everywhere else was 1.99!) I even patiently, PATIENTLY waited in line for my turn. Oh yeah. I filled up that tank GOOD!
Phew.
Got home and whipped up some pork chops ...wait, mini pork chops? I had these big tenderloins so I just cut them up in slices and cooked them in olive oil and when nearly done, I threw in onions and sauteed those. Cooked up spaetzels (spell??? My spell check can't find it!) and corn. Oh this is a feast!
Well...I guess my blogs are getting little boring lately...sorry about that!
What shall I blog about?
*thinking....*
*mind still blank...*
Oy.
Guess I'll have to wait until something happens or a story pops in my mind.
Have a good evening..............

Tuesday Tiredness...
Hey there.
I'm ready to saw some logs.
I'm tired.
All the hype of goin' back to work yesterday, then listening to tons of people saying it's nice to be back.
Just wait....just waaaaaaaaait.....
Give it few more days/weeks before they start griping how much they need a vacation.
I betcha that'll happen....
...... soon.
I need a vacation FROM my vacation.
Huh?
Whatever.
Just had a great Deaf Cafe meeting tonight on the wonderful VideoPhone....and got a lot of things planned out. We will have a good program this weekend. I look forward to it.
Anyhoo....well, it's nearly my son's bedtime so I best tuck him in and then I can crawl in bed and join my son in sawing more logs.
Good night, y'all.

Seriously...
What is it with people falling down? Nearly breakin' their necks???
I wouldn't think twice when it comes to helping someone out.
Today, when I drove the husband to a friend's house to watch some testerone-filled football game, I wanted to wait make sure that someone is (isn't) home before driving away...I was watching this woman walk with a cane, very carefully.
She slipped. Ouch.
So I parked the van and jumped out, not thinking about my own safety...walked on the snow and noticed the sidewalk was completely iced-over. So I ran over to the woman and asked her if she was okay (yes) and can I help her? (oh thank you) and I took her bags. She didn't want to lean on my shoulder or anything so I just kinda held her bags and told her best thing to do is walk on the snow-covered yard. So we did.
For very long minutes. She doesn't seem old. She seems to be in my age range. And she's talking in a very soft voice (me: uh-huh, be careful there...want me help you step across?) and finally made it to her door.
Deep breath and a louder, "thank you".
I told her it was no problem. And to have a wonderful day.
I think her bottom will be sore for a while.
Whereas, one of my dearest friend ....if I read her email right, she loaded her shopping cart too full, and hurt her back, THEN she slipped. So her bottom/hip is sore too.
And she's not even 50!
Guess it's a day of feeling...so ancient or something.
Just last Sunday, a friend of mine stepped into something she thought was smushy ice, but it was actually...black ice and she broke her ankle! (yes, the Pastor mentioned it today...cautioned us to take care).
I'm comforting myself with a bowl of ice-cream for dinner. Yeah. Very comforting.
Just helped my son wrap a gift for a party they weren't able to have last month...due to the snow storm of the year (the one that I got sick, and bravely drove off to find out the university was CLOSED!).
Now we're just chillin' out. I know I'll get cold after eating my bowl of ice cream.
But it was a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling when I was able to help someone out.
I made a great casserole for our Deaf Ministry's potluck today.
One elderly deaf woman loved it so much (when I apologized for the spiciness of the green chilis) she gave me pad of paper and wanted me to write the recipe down! Oh wow!
So, my memory did pretty good....(thank you, Jesus!).
Quick Chicken Tortilla Bake (or something like that)
2 cans Cream of Chicken soup
1 can (10.5 oz) of diced tomatos with chili peppers
10-12 tortillas (can be flour or corn)
3 cups chopped cooked chicken
shredded cheese (mexican seasoned or cheddar)
Prepare the cream of chicken soup with the diced tomatos/chili peppers...mix together. I like to pour the chopped chicken into the mixture as well.
Shred or cut up the tortillas into bite sized pieces.
Put a layer of tortilla pieces on bottom of casserole dish.
Pour half of the mixture over the tortilla pieces.
Another layer of tortilla pieces on top of the mixture.
Pour rest of mixture.
Top off with remaining tortilla pieces. Wrap foil tightly to cover the dish, put into preheated oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
Remove foil, sprinkle cheese atop. Bake for few more minutes until completely melted.
Enjoy. I like to serve with sour cream or salsa.

Sunny Saturday, but somber...
It was a sunny day....and it was good to get out of the house today.
I went to Big Lots and just kind of poked around. Then...ah yes, Starbucks. Yum. The cashier noticed I didn't hear too good, and did sign to me. I apologize but I was NOT in the mood to get all "oh you know sign language???" kind of thing. I was polite, of course...and smiled and all that. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
I needed the day to myself.
See, I am grieving for a friend who just miscarried and my heart just broke for her. So her and her husband were heavy on my mind and my heart. And I needed some quiet time to myself.
Some people don't understand that having a miscarriage is the same as losing a child that had already been born and lived...
It doesn't matter if it was in the womb or outside.
But the excitement and the joy of having a child...is just something every parent dreams of.
So I can relate in a way. I've never had miscarriages but I do know how it is to lose a child.

Lazzzzzzzzzy Dazzzzzzzzzy....
That's right.
Been lazy all day. Watched movies today and read a book and took a bath and did some emails and just did....
......................nothing.
Very nice.
I gave up the remote to the husband so he can watch a show and I'm just here to say yeah I'm here and bein' lazy.
Tomorrow...ok, I'll be honest. I do not make resolutions as I never keep them. So....
My plans for tomorrow?
No clue.
Eh. Sleep in...do some more laundry...and just do whatever falls into my lap.

Happy 1st day of 2009!
How did it go for y'all?
Well I did stay up long enough to say hey to the new year then go to bed afterwards. What an old fart I am.
While waiting for the clock to tick, I had a long evening to kill. I should have done some chores or whatever, but I chose to take a hot bath and read a book.
An hour later (yes, I tend to take very long baths...up to 2 hours), Ashley comes in and tells me there is a drunk girl at our doorstep (practically). So I quickly got out, dressed and peeked out the windows. It was only 10 pm and a young woman was pulled over for DWI. Ahh...so we watched the state trooper make her walk the line, and ask her questions and all that. And our local cop came along to give the breathalyzer. Yup, BUSTED! So she was put in the cop car. The passenger(s) had no choice but to call the girl's mom (I guess) and she came out, I'm sure very angry and drove the SUV home...and the girl was taken to the station to sober up.
Tsk.
Well, I have yet to see the papers but Ashley thinks she knows who the girl is. A friend of a friend's. Ah.
Today I was able to accomplish a couple things---doing laundry! And cleaned the tub out so well, it looks better than those teeth we whiten. Yeah. Need sunglasses when you turn lights on in the bathroom---it's just so sparkly clean!
I don't really have many resolutions for 2009...not yet. I'd like to try to get rid of some of my flubber, as my sister and her friends call it....and try to get the home more organized. Maybe I'll take Adam's tip:
